Hotels New Milton includes the areas of New Milton, Christchurch, Woolton, Highcliffe and Bashley. New Milton is just south of the new forest. It has a train station that connects solely to Brockenhurst (which is on the main London Waterloo to Poole line).

New Milton History

New Milton was recorded as a settlement in the Doomsday Book (1086). Its coastal location meant that it survived as a fishing village and over the years its accessible beaches enabled smugglers to ply their trade. Originally the parish of Milton, New Milton adopted its prefix with the arrival of the railway in 1888 and the consequent expansion of the town.

New Milton provides a tranquil setting to explore the southern English coastline and has easy access to the new forest. Hotels, bed and breakfast and self catering accommodation are available in the town and the surrounding area. It’s a great place to explore the coastline or the new forest.
